Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Flux Plugins (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at fluxplugins.com, our WordPress plugins, specifically the Flux Media Optimizer, and our associated cloud processing and Content Delivery Network (CDN) services (collectively, the “Services”).

Flux Plugins is a company based in the State of California, USA.

By installing our plugin, purchasing a subscription, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

Flux Plugins provides a suite of WordPress tools. Our primary service, Flux Media Optimizer, operates in two capacities:

  • Free Version (Local Processing): The plugin performs media optimization, conversion, and processing locally on your (the customer’s) WordPress server. In this capacity, no files are transferred to Flux Plugins servers.
  • Paid Cloud Service (SaaS & CDN): Upon purchasing a license and opting-in via the plugin settings, your media files are securely transmitted to our cloud infrastructure (powered by Google Cloud Platform) for processing. Optimized files are then stored and served via our Global CDN.

3. The Cloud Service & Data Handling

If you opt-in to the Paid Cloud Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following technical workflow:

  • File Transmission: Your uploads are sent to our servers for processing. While we utilize industry-standard security via Google Cloud, you grant us permission to store, copy, and process these files to provide the Service.
  • Media Optimization: Images and videos will be processed and optimized. Non-media files (or unsupported formats) will not undergo optimization but will be stored and served via the CDN to ensure asset availability.
  • Webhooks & Data Sync: Our processing servers will send data back to your WordPress site via a Webhook. This includes file URLs and metadata. You agree to allow our plugin to update your database with this information to serve content from our CDN.
  • Third-Party Infrastructure: We utilize Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run and Cloud CDN) to provide these services. By using our Service, you agree that your data may pass through these third-party providers.

4. Subscriptions, Pricing, and The “Flux Suite”

  • Suite Subscription: The subscription fee (currently $9.00 USD/month) grants you a license to the “Flux Suite.” This currently includes the Flux Media Optimizer Cloud Service. We reserve the right to add new plugins, features, or capabilities to this suite subscription in the future.
  • Billing: The subscription is billed monthly. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file automatically at the start of each billing cycle.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your service will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which your access to the Cloud processing and CDN delivery will be terminated.
  • Effect of Cancellation on Media: If you cancel your subscription, your CDN links may eventually become inactive. It is your responsibility to revert your media library to local URLs using the plugin settings before cancellation.

5. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Content

Since Flux Plugins hosts your content on our CDN, strict content policies apply. You retain ownership of your content, but you represent and warrant that you own all rights to the files you upload.

You agree NOT to upload or use our Service to serve:

  • Malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Content that is illegal in the United States or your jurisdiction (e.g., child sexual abuse material, non-consensual sexual content).
  • Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend your account, and ban your license immediately without refund if you violate these policies or if your usage threatens the stability of our infrastructure.

6. Intellectual Property

Flux Plugins retains all ownership and intellectual property rights to the plugin code, the SaaS platform, and our brand. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the plugin and services as intended.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Flux Plugins does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from server failures, plugin conflicts, or user error.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Flux Plugins shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes on our website or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
